How do you like that choate stock?
I'm not sure I can get over the physical appearance of them... they just look U G L Y but from what I hear they are pretty ergonomically well designed.
I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on the stock after your shoot this weekend.

Well for a lower priced stock i have only heared great things! And its about half and half on what people think on the look, will post a range report but i believe that its going to be great!

I guess I am a odd ball but I like the look of the Choate. I have heard bad things about them but have shot a few and liked them. My friend who got me into long range shooting has 6 or 7 Choate's that he swears by.

I had one and I had a difficult time keeping it from moving and causing vertical stringing. I will say it locks up nice and tight but I just could not get use to the awkward way it sat. The vertical stringing ended up killing it for me. Maybe the new drop down mono pod will help with that.

Good looking budget stick. I had one of those stocks. They aren't bad for the cash but it certainly does have its short comings.
