One in .308, one in .223. Both threaded barrels @20".
Huber Concepts triggers
Seekins 20MOA base using 8-40 screws
Seekins rings
Seekins Sling Rail System
Bushnell tactical elite 3-12x44FFP and 3-21x50 DMR
Barrel fluting, bolt stop and bolt knob done by Kampfeld Custom

Going to do some load development for these this weekend and finally see how they really shoot.

Kampfeld Custom did very nice work and at a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend him.

Now I just need Manners stocks and a couple brake mounted cans. And of course I have two more Atlas bipods on the way (one for the .223 and one for my OBR)

Re: My 5R's

Jury is still out on my .308 I picked up a month back. After ~ 30 rounds it was making 3" groups in a weird horizontal string. Then it started not wanting to extract. I put in some factory ammo, and then the bolt refused to open at all!

Had it sent to a Remmy warranty center, and they filed a few burrs in the chamber rim, and sent it back.

I fired it last weekend and it seemed to be extracting OK, and groups were OK (~1"). I'm a little puzzled and rather disappointed thus far.
Maybe I got the dud?

I'll test further and see what happens. Hope yours don't act like mine did!

Re: My 5R's

Thanks guys! Didn't get a whole lot of time to shoot these before sending them off, but they both seemed to shoot very well with load not tailored to them. I love shooting the .223 it's like shooting a strong pellet gun; virtually no recoil.

I can't recall 100% but I think all of the custom work together was about $680? You can see the price list on Kampfeld Custom website.

Re: My 5R's

Well, did some ladder testing today- velocity was a bit lower than I anticipated; at 44.8gr load of Varget under a 175 SMK, CCI BR2 primers and Lapua brass I was able to get 2614fps out of it. Seems 44.6-44.8 is the high node on this gun. Which, starts to show some primer flattening and cratering. The mid-node gives velocity around 2570.

Re: My 5R's

edit (was pretty damn tired when I posted before): Okay, seems I'm running pretty typical velocity then. I'm good with that.
