Love them, they are VERY effective. The .300 win mag's recoil is reduced to the recoil of a .243

I own that brake as per JP, that is a JP right?

Its a good brake, about as wide as they come and if your pushing through brush, it is going to be a different experience. It is a good brake, but, to my thinking it is not as aggressive as an honest 30 degree hard return for smaller calibers. With a 30 you can feel it brush your shoulders on a 20" barrel. With the JP, your return to target is fast (rise reduction), but imo the actual recoil reduction is about 75% of what is possible. JP is less loud as a result (still loud.) However, get to the bigger calibers and these are superb.

here here on the brake, depending on how you carry / use your rifle, you have to watch that it doesn't get grass / sticks and crap in it if you are moving through such, and winter time check it for snow / ice.

but for regular target shooting, they are GTG, and relatively cheap. there's a thread or two on the hide about them, check em out through a search so this doesn't go way off topic.

What scope do you have on the rifle?
did you paint the action and barrel your self? what did you use.

thank you

The scope in the picture is a Leupold Mark IV 8.5-25X50 LR/T M1 mildot. The action, barrel, brake, rings and picatinny rail were cerakoted OD green by ARpredatorhunter (here on the hide).
