I apologize for the trouble.
I'd suggest pushing the bipod spigot in towards the butt in hopes of taking some pressure of the latch, then depress the button. And if you can depress the latch, you can then remove the bipod.
If you can't push the latch in with your thumb, then while still pushing the bipod in, tap it with a non-marring hammer, or the handle of a screw driver, it should not take much at all. Once it moves, then you should be able to push it in by hand and pull the bipod out.
We have run into some issues with the AI spigots as of late, every unit we ship out is tested for fit and function in our AI chassis. Even so we have some (about 1 in 30 maybe) that will not snap in or apparently are very tight when they do snap in...We are working to resolve this so no matter the tolerance on the stock, our parts will fit and tighten up to it.
You can return it and we'll trim some material off so you can install and remove it as the design intended.
