You read it correctly. My brother thought he had CFE 223 in his chargemaster when it actually had, A 1680 from reloading blackout, It didn't go well. He pulled the trigger ( bolt action gun) an he said he felt stuff hit him in the face. The bolt felt like it was welded in there. He didn't chalk it up to be a reloading issue so he dropped a round into a Ar. Well that didn't go well either. To add to the pressure problem a surpressor was attached. The mag blew out and apart and the BCG was like it was welded in there. Had to believe, He was totally fine. My question is, does anyone have the software to figure out what that pressure was and I'd love to know what that velocity comes out to be 😳 BTW he got the bolts out. The brass was molded into the bolt like it was poured into it. Bent the extractor.
I told him my rule is always when finished, dump the powder back into the container. Never have any other powder even near the bench that your not currently using.

I would say that I'd just test it, but it's really hard on the transducers going over 80,000psi. Not going to risk it on this one. I'd guess well in excess of 100,000psi if you've got peanut butter brass. Glad no one got seriously hurt.

Wow that’s wild and I’m glad he’s ok.

I made labels put them on magnetic tape for my powder measures. Can’t be too careful when it can be awhile between reloading sessions.

I just added some white metal tape so I can write the charge weight with a dry erase marker.

I may have missed the caliber and bullet weight. Gordon's Reloading tool is free download. I can plug in the specs if you post them.
