Bought an old springfield off a friend and used it to build my first custom 1911.

thanks guys. I was a little tentative to fit the trigger, grip safety, hammer, and sear myself, but found that it wasn't too diffcult once I figured just how everything worked together and did a little research on here. Only problem is I'll need another coat of duracoat on the frame since I got a little anxious and didn't let it set quite long enough. You can see some of the wear on the finish where the safety lever slides on the frame. Lesson learned!
