my first remy

Thought that I would post my first 700 project. I traded off a Browning rifle I had won for a SPS Tactical in .223, 20" pipe with a Nikon Monarch 4-16 sitting on top.

This is what I did to it: finished the barrel with black alumihide (after trying Krylon first), got the bolt knob done by Keith at AZ Precision (Scout Knob), topped it w/ a 5-25 Swaro w/ BRX, and got rid of the hogue for a FDE AICS which I purchased from a fellow Hide member. 223 mag is enroute along with a set of Forrester Micrometer dies and some 70gr VLD'S. Now I just have to wait to come back from vacation to shoot it.

Mostly going to be used for some critter gitten'

Cool, what part of louisiana are you in? Palo Alto has some f class matches you should go shoot.

i would like to hear how well the 70gr vld bullets work in that 1/9 twist barrel post up a range report when you get her going
