My G21 w/ Rail wouldn't holster....

I did some research on paddle holsters and chose to pick up a Blackhawk Serpa to use on my new G21. This holster is for use during prisoner transports when I am not in a uniform and just in civilian clothes.

The Brown Truck brought me my new holster today and went to try it out and the G21 would not fit. Backed off the tension screw and it still wouldn't fit.

Looks like to me that the picatinny rail, which sticks down an extra 1/8th inch or so, is binding up. Item description said it will work for M&P's so I tried it w/ my 40c and slid in just fine. But the 40c isn't near as long as the G21.

So my question is, has anyone ran into the same problem with the railed Glock not working and what are you guys running for holsters for your railed Glocks? Thanks for your time guys! -Dbrace

yes, I believe it's a known issue on G21SF with picatiny rail VS the glock rail.
not a lot of holsters makers for the g21sf with picantiny. Most of them make the holster with the glock rail.

eta: disregard my rumbling if you have a g21sf with glock rail

Never thought about it being an issue. But I shoulda figured as much with my luck! I guess I know that it is an issue now.....

did you try Comp Tac or Raven Concealment ?

I will look into them. I tried calling Blackhawk at 5pm central and of course they shut down at 5pm Eastern. But, I will look into Comptac & Raven.

Impact, I really appreciate your help. That is the one that I have been looking at, but with the paddle for the G21 w/ the 1913 rail. Thanks for steering me their way. I will call Blackhawk tomorrow to make sure that they don't make one for my G21. However I am sure that I will be calling Comp-tac right after I get off the phone with Blackhawk. Thanks again. my g31 has the glock rail but i wanted a holster i could run with accessory attached. i got the fobus tactical GL2. it leaves the rail exposed so there's no interference. another option to look into.

The $20 Serpas have fitment issues. Tried them with G19 and M9. The more expensive variants seem to fit much better.

no prob. comp tac is much better than blackhawk IMO.
