MY LIFE IS COMPLETE

Tearing up baklava is difficult
  1. The filling is a mix of nuts, spices and honey...very stiff and sticky
  2. There are multiple layers of phyllo dough each with a nut and honey mixture and it don't tear well
  3. there is a honey topping all over it.
I think he is cutting the baklava in pieces and the pancake into pieces and forks one piece of each at a time into his mouth

At least that is what I would try
Some things in life just shouldn't be fucked with.

Baklava is at the top of that list.

Its like the Austria/Germany thing....

Beethoven was German yet the Austrians get the credit

Hitler was Austrian yet Germany gets the infamy.

Baklava is Greek yet Turks get credit.

Anal sex is Turkish yet Greeks get the infamy.
Have to disagree here! :)

Beethoven spent most his time in Vienna.

Hitler was a failing art student in Vienna, the Germans made him into something.

So we Austrians agreed with ourselves that they should be exchanged. This is basically revenge for 1866. :D

And Vienna is known for their little canned sausages.

Had a friend in Muhldorf who caught a lot of shit for being an Osterreicher while we were in gymnasium.

Yeah, there were a few "dalliances" here and there by the World Bank on that little escapade. Ever read "Diary of an Economic Hitman" ?

Would be better going back to the Drachma and fuck the EU slavery.

I understand part of Greece' problem is their people are the worlds first in class tax evaders......cant say I dont respect that.

I don't remember the details, but a number of hollyweird types have either taken dual citizenship with, or have made Greece their primary residence. Tom Hanks being one of them that I can remember. I'll see if I can dig up more details and come back.

It's also a dessert thats also eaten as just regular food.

Basically a pancake with whatever on it; sometimes rolled up like a jelly roll or has hot cut up fruit and sweet sauce ontop. My mom would make them and simply put sugar on the pancake, roll it up, and you eat it after dipping it in a jam.

The two words put together to me, is hes hoping for some weird pancake pastry thing. Which now that I said that, sounds kind of good.

Not sure what the english word for it would be because its a food, so, there may not be one.
Kaiserschmarrn FTW!

In LA there is a semi famous Lebanese chicken joint, and next door is a Jewish bakery.

For time immemorial, you would get chicken from Zankou, and go next door for baklava.

Except now zankou sells its own baklava and the 2 places are trying to out do each other.

Its like a gas war except with really good baklava.

Seriously, what city ? Address ? I travel(ed) for business and will seek them out next trip...

That is very normal and happens on both sides. Usually its just a bit of fun though, just like Brits and Americans. Two countries divided by a common language.

It was interesting to say the least. I miss living on my aunts farm there! Great times going to the Gasthaus to shoot (I was in the shutzenverein bei Gummatennkirche).

What do you mean....what common language?

Well we can speak in a way, so that few Germans understand it, so it is not completly wrong. :)

There is some truth to that but Greece was not saved with EU money, the buisness of Deutsche Bank and others was saved with EU money. Those "too big to fail" banks loaned Greece the money knowing full well that the EU taxpayer would stand for it in the end.

Zankou is all over LA, Glendale, Hollywood etc.

The one next to the bakery is in Anaheim, about 10 minutes from Disneyland.
