This will be a concise rundown of a few function/ease of use changes made to my Magneto Mount. I always try and listen to customers, and in turn optimize my products for them. This has led to several modifications to the design in the spirit of better performance and fast setup.
1) We still waterjet some pieces, and mill from there, but all mating surfaces are now milled for extra smooth and parallel clamping. Before, the "S" piece was waterjet cut then had slots milled in it. This is now purely milled, and man is it SLICK! The small kerf on the "S" previously made things clamp down just a hair off parallel.
2) All bolts on the assembly now tighten from the same side. With the Gen I mount, one of the "S" piece bolts had to be given the reacharound. Depending on the setup, this might have been no big deal, but it certainly was for some folks, particularly those mounting the assembly on the bottom side of their stock. In all cases things are easier and faster to set up.
3) A stock mount is available now. You can select this an option rather than the rail mount version at no extra charge, or you can buy these stock adapters individually and keep them on your rifle, the Magneto Mount itself attaches via one bolt.
