Got a new rifle, Savage 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor, Went with a somewhat common reload, I had a match coming up in 2 days and had basically an hour after work to get it sighted in and ready to go. Loaded up 100 rounds and took it out.

Here is a shot video, the rifle has less than 20 rounds threw it in this video
Shooting 475 -825 yards.
6.5 Creedmoor 475 & 825 Yards - YouTube

The match went good for what little time I had with the rifle. I got 6th place out of 19 shooters

This was from one of the stages, 200 yards weak side! "left handed"

After less than 90 rounds threw the rifle, I am very happy with it.

Congrats on the new rig, Thinking about a model 12 myself in 6.5. I own a model 10 FCP-SR 5Rbbl 22in in .308 and only got 198 down the tube and it has done great. Getting into tactical matches though and gunna use it for now now but 1k+ shots with the caliber gunna be rough.
Where did you get your 10 round mag?

I love my 6.5CM.

The 6mm / 6BR / .260 guys will all be along shortly to say how their caliber of choice is better. But I'm happy enuf with my 0.375 MoA groups in 6.5CM

I am alittle jealous of your wide open spaces.... :)

Enjoy the heck outta your rifle.

nothing wrong with 6.5cm, and i shoot 260, 6cm, etc. Basically when you get to the 260, 6.5cm, 6.5x47 they are apples to apples. do the same damn thing. Very nice gun man

Dan's mags by far are the best available for the Savage DBM system!! I've been running them for over a year in competitions and NEVER had an issue with feeding. His extended mag release is also a very nice addition. Lastly, Dan is just a SUPER nice guy to do business with!!

The Savage 12LRP in either 6.5 Creedmoor or .260 Rem are a GREAT value and good way to get a competition rifle up and running on a budget. I run a Savage12 LRP in .260 Rem. Though it is FAR from stock anymore with a Shillen ultra match barrel, Manner's T2, and Rifle Basix trigger. My secondary rifle is the original Savage barrel rechambered to 6.5 Creedmoor on a Savage Varmint DBM action (small shank), all in the original HS Precision stock. I have less in two rifles than many have in just one custom rig (without glass), and I'm certainly not at any eqipment disadvantage (other than mental capabilities). ;)

We recently took a Savage 10fcp with the HS stock that was a factory .308 and rebarreled it with a Schilen Select Match barrel to 6.5 Creedmore. It has been an outstanding rig for it's owner and shoots great. My personal rig is identical to this gun but is chambered in .260 Rem and is also an awsome shooter.

I like the 6.5 Creedmore, the .260 and also a 6.5X47 that we recently built for a friend. It seems to me that there is really no preference between these as far as I can tell, so pick your poison and enjoy.
