I've heard the bad about certain IORs. Also heard the IOR I just bought is the best one they make. Have the bugs been removed ? Its mounted on my AR-15 flat top. I don't throw my rifles around.

And then put the bugs back in them...

IOR got a bad rap because the 3-18 Sniper's Hide ones went tits up in droves. I have a couple of their fixed power ones and they are great, no problems. 2.5-10 seem to be fine as well.

If you decide you don't want it, I'm in Cali and would probably buy it from you if you are norcal.

BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

They're worse now than they were 20 years ago. At least the warranty is good (and if you buy leupold you'll need it).

What happened with the Snipershide IOR's?? I hadn't heard about the problems.

Sniper's Hide 3-18 models -

"To date, about 18/150 (12%) of all the scopes sold have had to be returned for one reason or another. So you have a 88% chance of being happy (how's that for positive spin)."

9 months later -

"These new models (3rd gen 3-18) have been 100% reliable to date"

Both quotes from Liberty Optics on another board. It seems to me they fixed them but the fact that the initial models had a fairly high failure rate gave them a black eye.

IOR had a bad reputation long before the SH 3-18.
