My new Savage ,17HMR (And my new range)

So here is my first post. Not sure if this is the right place, but this is a view of my place and my newest rifle. Its 1/2 mile long.(Forest Hill La) Awesome deer/pig and varmint hunting.
The scope is a Leupold VX-1. I have a buddy coming over with a .338 Lapua and his range finder and spotting scope. We will range and mark the property in increments. I intend to spend ALOT of time on here.

That's a fine place you have to shoot! Did you have someone come in and clear it out for you or did you do it yourself? Thats a nice rifle. I have a .17HMR also, it's a Marlin with a heavy barrel and they shoot very well.

Let us know how it goes and post some pics for us. Will you be putting up steel or just using paper?

Ok so I updated my profile. I plan on making an A-Frame with a steel plate hanging from a chain. I dont have the quality optics to be able to see .17 holes at a distance. So the ringing and swinging of the plate will work for now. Im hoping to get valuable info here because this is just the beginning of my long range arsenal. I will begin building a .308 soon and take it to the next level. This site will be my primary source of info. (So hope all of you dont mind questions from a newbie). Thanks for all the compliments, Ill be posting alot of pics as the place (And I) progress.

Man both are nice! I live north of Beaumont Tx and that terrain looks like here. Enjoy.
