Got my rifle couple weeks ago from Dark Eagle Custom. Was occupied with some things, finally put the rings on and still need to level the retricle and zero the scope.
This McMillan A5 stock, Dan cut the butt and put in the adjustable thumb locking piece, didn't wait 8 months for McMillan to make one. It was a right handed stock originally too, he converted it to south paw.
Rem 700 action trued, had the bolt timing adjusted, rock creek barrel, Timney 3.5lb trigger, pillars and bedding, I decided to stick with the stock internal box magazine.
Yes I know all the cool kids have detachable box magazines, I am a lazy bastard I want to lay there and not break my position to top off. But not to sound like a lazy bastard I will call it "tactical position conservation". Plus it just works and feels better for ME(especially when I work with a sling). But what about tactical rifle matches? Well shit I will be happy as pig in shit just to participate in one, I will have fun, challenge myself, and learn something regardless of how my rifle is fed.
