So night thermal we get to shoot very close it's crazy fun and all offhand. Having said that we picked up a new Convergent Bullet and we are going to do some day yote work. If they are anything like the yotes we stumble on in the day we could end up with some long shots. Fun! I've got this old tripod rock solid would be great in the back of the truck or to jump out with. Not so much lugging all day, but we will be in a truck all the time. This is at it's lowest setting and will go high enough for the tallest of the tall. Can lock in, pivot up/down and rotate 360. I have a little V I put on there we tried out, but kinda wobbly. Better, but maybe not as good as we could be.

Can this take any kind of the attachments like a Hog Saddle? Any suggestions? Run with it? Start over? Thanks.

A Hog saddle or the less expensive Pig saddle have 1/4-20 stainless steel mounting threads and 3/8-16 back up threads. Can't tell if your tripod has that screw size. You could purchase a saddle of some type and if it does not provide the stability you're looking for, then you could update your tripod as funds allow.
