OK... so I go to order a trigger. I get on the Timney website, pick out what I need, and now I wait. However, when I see the e-mail for the order confirmation, I get either some new marketing strategy, (my guess as they mentioned me by name repeatedly), or a genuine reaction from a group of bored ass people sitting around twittling their thumbs waiting for something to do... Either way, it was hilarious. Never ordered from them before, but thought I'd share... I copied and pasted...

"It was a quiet little day at the Timney shop. The machines were gently building the World’s Finest Triggers and our folks in Assembly and Testing were cruising right along filling orders.

Did you know that each trigger is hand assembled, tested, and calibrated for the specific rifle model it is intended for before it’s delivered to the customer’s door? Well if you didn’t know, here’s where you, (my name) come into the story.

All of a sudden, Megan came running into the assembly and testing room shouting and waving a sales order.
“I can’t believe this,” Megan shouted. “We got an order from (my name)!”

Sven looked up from his work station to see what the joyful shouting was all about. Megan slapped down the sales order right between Sven and Herlov and stepped back grinning from ear to ear with her hands on her hips. Sven read the name out loud for everyone to hear - (my name) and started a grin that turned into loud laughter, “How about that! We did it! We have an order from (my name).”

The place went nuts! Herlov cranked the classic country music up so loud that everyone had no choice but to dance and sing along in celebration of your order.

The entire Timney family is thrilled you’re a customer! Thank you so much for your support and for giving us a reason to design and build the best triggers on the planet right here in America.

As soon as the celebration ends, we’ll send you tracking information so you can track your package. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at [email protected]."

Either those guys are bored out of their skulls (can't believe that in this gun buying frenzy) or it's the funniest add campaign I've ever seen.

A buddy of mine had the same thing! It’s def. a marketing thing, but a damn good one. It’s literally the easiest way to really make customers feel special. And it certainly does that!
Good on Timney
