Hi All,

I just got a completely unsuspected surprise from the people at Defiance Machine / BadRock Rifles.

My build came in today, ahead of schedule, and on Christmas Eve no less. How cool is that! These are some really great people out in Montana. Great comms. Great service. I will email them later to let them know how happy I am that I got an unexpected Christmas present from them. So, broke free from smoking some Christmas meats and a turkey for the extended family and went to my FFL to pick it up.

It's a heavy rifle. I got in on the scales. It weighs in at 15 pounds with the magazine and the Atlas bipod on it. I will have more info soon. Suffice to say that it's a very nice build and the Defiance action is pure melted butter . Guys at the FFL couldn't believe how smooth it is. The barrel and action are low glare utilitarian bead finish. Definitely built for taking some knocks. This ain't no safe queen. Which is a good thing 'cause I plan to shoot the snot out of it.

So far so good. The proof is in the shooting though, which will take some time as I now have to go through the whole measure this and that for the setup, get rings, a scope and other things. I love this part 😀

Nevertheless, here is a pic, literally right out of the box. Had to install the bipod so I could stand it up straight....

Merry Christmas you all!

Man, that looks nice!

Is that a Southfork Production Rifle, just with a new forend on the Bravo?
Thanks. Yes it's the PRS production category. And It looks that way. My older Bravo fore end is different. On this one all threads both on the sides and on the bottom of the fore end are brass, or brass colored. Plus they eliminated some of the M-Lok holes on the bottom as well....

How about a pic or two with it not being a black chassis on black foam! haha

Seriously, would love to see a pic with a better background...better to see your beautiful new rifle.

Congrats on the timely Christmas present.

There is a new picture on the KRG website. It's the one before last:

I apologize for the low quality shot. I'm better than that but I was out of time, being the cook for Christmas eve. At least I got the shot straight after a couple of Monkey Shoulder scotches!

I will get decent pictures soon. Hopefully with the completed build.

KRG probably revised the fore end so you don't have to take the plastic apart to install an ARCA rail. I just installed their ARCA rail on one of my Bravos and while not difficult, it was a bit of a pain.

Congrats on the new rifle! She's a beaut!

Yes, all of the South Fork rifles with the KRG come with the full Whiskey-3 forend now. Since KRG only offered the long action Bravo with that forend, it just made sense to include it on the other short action models as well. We need to update our website to reflect that.
