The US Navy today made public their catch and release program they began in 2003. They announced the release of a senior Al-Qaeda terrorist after questioning him for 27 days while being held prisoner onboard the US Aircraft Carrier Enterprise (CVN-65) in the Indian Ocean.
As a humanitarian gesture (in light of his prolonged incarceration) the terrorist was given $50 US, and a 1962 Ford Fairlane automobile.
The photo below show the terrorist on his way home just after being released by the Navy.
