Hey folks, just spreading the word on this match as I received an email from a local shooting asking if it was on this year. It is, but NCRPA is running the whole show so I hadnt been thinking about adverstising it (nice to be able to shoot in it this year without having any responsibility other than shooting center shots! ). So, I figured I better get the word out as David isnt exactly Mr. Computer Forum guy.

So, at Butner again, its on! NOTE that while David's match program below doesnt state F Class, I spoke to him directly a couple weeks ago about F class after another local F class shooter emailed me and confirmed with David that F Class shooter are welcome and will have F class targets, etc. So bring your F class rigs out and play, or put a sling on that rig, some irons and play along with us other zanies!

Hope to see a lot of you there....we had a pretty big turn out last year and expect this year to be much greater (2nd year at Butner now).

If I've understood the rules posted correctly my Accu-pod mono-pod is a no go as are muzzle brakes. </div></div>

I dont know much about Fclass, as I am a sling shooter, but I do know muzzle brakes are not allowed. Not sure about the monopod, but I am thinking no as I dont recall ever seeing one on the line.

I've looked into this match and am strongly considering giving it a go. Do I need to pre-register or just show up on match day? Mud-cat tried to send you a PM with a few additional questions, but your inbox is full. Any additional info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: NC Midrange State Championship Butner April 16-17

Sorry about that...will clear out the pm box. SHould be no problem just showing up and registering. Thats what I plan on doing and have done for pretty much every match at Butner since I started going in 2005. If you want, call David and let him know but I doubt he will do anything with it. Got plenty of targets up there, even though I think its going to be a big turnout.

PM inbound, sorry if it looks like a solid wall-o-text.

Just off the phone with David, the match director, and this match is on, rain or shine, as we dont have rain dates. Probably wont shoot in rain due to keeping targets dry, but will shoot between showers, etc and get in as much as we can on Saturday.

I suspect we will get most, if not all of the matches shot on Sat and certainly will get Sunday in. So be there or miss out on the fun!
