Hey all, I'm new here and I'm new to target shooting. For my first gun I have a guy wanting to trade some AR gear for his nearly stock 700 in 6mm rem. Here are the spec on his rifle:
Remington 700 BDL, 22" standard taper barrel, 20moa Base, Scope rings, Hogue pillar stock, Bushnell Tactical 10X40 mill-dot scope, +2 mag extension KRG bolt knob.
My question is would this be a good first target rifle. I could "shoot out" this barrel and throw on a target barrel later etc. Or should I hold off and get a gun with a target barrel and all the fixin's right off?
