Need a good FN gunsmith

I just bought a FN SPR A1A. I have another rifle built on an FN SPR action and it has the CDI bottom metal. I have about 5 Accuracy mags for it and I would like to have the CDI bottom metal put in this one as well. I emailed Jeff at CDI and got a reply that all they do is install the bottom metal and they don't do triggers and bedding but they have a gunsmith nearby that does. I don't really want to have to send the rifle to two or three different places. So my question is, if i just buy the bottom metal what are your recomendations on some good smiths who work on FN rifles. I would like to get the CDI metal installed, trigger adjusted, action bedded, and a Bolt knob and possibly some cerakoteing I don't know why the hell FN makes a damn $1700 tactical rifle without a frickin tactical knob, but anyway. I would appreciate any opinions yall have to offer

Any competent smith should do you work, and its a Winchester at the end of the day.

No knob because they don't need it.I know Mark Gordon here(Short Action Customs)does a fair bit of FN work and should be able to fix you up.

I appreciate it guys. i assumed any competent gunsmith could do it since like you said it is a winchester at the end of the day. I just wondered if there was any smiths that sort of specialized in those particular rifles, or any smiths that anybody here had used and had really good results with these particular rifles.

For the work you need done, Mark Gordon is as good as they get. He may be able to help you with the bottom metal situation as well. Custom Blue and Cresent Customs also do excellent work on SPRs.

Predator customs in TN, did my FN.
They put my FN A-3G in a M-5 stock, bedded it, inleted the
Stock for the CDI bottom, also milled the action for the CDI
Bottom. They also did a Badger bolt knob, and a sweet trigger job.
Later on they put on a 28" Rock Bbl. in .260rem.
It's a shooter!!!

Derrick Martin does top-notch work on just about anything, FN's and Winchesters included.
