I have .308 sps varmint 1/12 twist. I am using varget powder,winchester brass, and winchester primers. Does anyone have any load info that works good for them. I have sierra manual and Lee manual. But just trying shortcut to get a deer hunting load worked up real quick. Thanks

Try some R15- about 45gr is what I use for a 155g SMK. It is a lovely thing. Low recoil and great accuracy.

Do you have a good 155 match load? They should nearly identical. Both Hodgdon and Sierra references provide the same load data for 150 and 155.
I've got 2 rifles that shoot this load great but it's close to the top end of the load ... 155 SMK, Win Brass, 46.5 Varget, GM210M primer, 2.810 COAL.
One rifle is 22.75" 1:11.25
Other rifle is 20" 1:11 twist
As usual, load with safety off anybody's elses results

My .308 SPS Tactical love 43 Grains of Varget with that bullet weight. I looked at old test and the sierra and a 150 gr. hornady interbond produced 1/3" groups.

My bolt gun/M1A load for 150's in commercial brass was 46.0gr of Varget.

I found 45.5grs RE15 was the most accurate with the 150SBTs, Rem brass & Primers. 47grs RE15 with 155AMAXs. Since youre using varget, try 46grs with the 150s.

My SPS Tac loves 46.1gr of Varget, Win brass, Wolf primers with 155 AMax's, and 150gr Nosler BT's.
