I am looking to upgrade my press. I currently use a rock chucker with a Lyman powder system. I want an AP press with a powder hopper to increase my output. I'm not sure I want to spend enough to buy a dillon just yet. I am getting into IDPA and some multi gun comps. At the most I'll be shooting 200-300 rds per week of 9mm, 223, and some 308 combined. Just looking for advise on a more affordable option than dillon.

Thanks

If you don't move up to a progressive(Dillon),the gain will probably not be worth the cost.I would wait until I could afford it,then buy the Dillon.I really like mine. Pete

Save your pennies for a Hornady LNL, 400ish or a Dillon 650, both are five station auto indexing presses, I used to want the Hornady but now after all my research I want a Dillon 650 with case feeder, the hornady is super easy to switch calibers, but the Dillon by all accounts is a better system.

I went back and forth from a 550, 650 and a LNL AP. I ended up with a 550 for my honest volume needs. I think that the biggest issue, output needs. Good luck
