Range Report Need Help Making My Range Cards!

Hello all. I'm pretty new to precision shooting and I finally bought myself a nice rig (to me) the other day and I'm wanting to get it in the field as soon as possible.

I'm a Marine stationed in CA, and I have all the distance for shooting that I want .

I have a Remington 700SPS Tactical 20" in .308, and I'm pretty much looking to shoot only match grade ammo through it. I got a box of Hornady TAP 168 gr as well just as an impulse buy. I have an old ass Bushnell 3200 3-9 variable scope on it right now, but I plan on purchasing a Super Sniper 10x within the next week or so. I'm deploying in about a month so I may have to wait until I get back.

I've tried using the calculator at JBM's site but for some reason it wasn't working too well for me. I'm going to be sticking to mils and I'm trying to set dope for increments of 50 yards.

What you want help with is a dope card.

If JBM doesn't work for you, it's probably because you're not setting it up correctly.

This is about the minimum data set you must enter for the program to work:

Ballistic coefficient
Bullet weight
Caliber
Muzzle velocity
Sight height above the bore. This is not a critical measurement. Use a rule or tape measure to measure from the center of the bolt to the center of the scope tube.
Zero range

Temperature

Atmospheric pressure - this is the tricky one. See the section on entering atmospheric parameters in this link:

Humidity - however, if you checked the box which says, "Standard Atmosphere at Altitude", that box will not matter. That's one of the reasons why it's better to have your own pressure reading, because then you can also enter the humidity and it will calculate that.

Down at the bottom, check the boxes which say:

Elevation correction for zero range
Target relative drops

Hey I'm pretty new here but what I think the OP is likely looking for is a data book or a card that he can collect data on. (i.e. wind, range-to-target, altitude, temperature, direction of north, direction of light, weather conditions, and notes of each round fired.) Am I right? It also doesn't hurt to draw up a sketch of your target and annotate where your impacting on target, cold bore impact, annotating group size(s) and locations on sketched target.
