Need help matching Cerakote

Want to Cerakote my barreled action, base, rings, bolt handle, and DBM to match the dark green in the stock. What Cerakote color would be a match? Would "Highland Green" be the color to match?

If not, which? Thanks in advance...

The two darkest greens that I have seen from Cerakote are Magpul OD green, and McMillan green.

Way too many choices below....ANYONE have any idea what the correct match would be to copy the dark green in my stock??? ANYONE???

highland green would be what i'd use if i was asked to do that work. otherwise, i'd mix a custom color to match the darkest green in the stock, prep, apply, bake, and enjoy with a glass of milk... much like cookies, i dig cerakote...

Have you tried contacting Cerecote or McMillan to see if they have a suggestion? Otherwise I agree with Highland Green.

you cant exactly go with the colors on the site, there will be a difference on color when applied already went down that road 2 weeks ago when I bought paint to match my desert camo stock...I bought some paint that based on the cerakote website looked like an exact match then when purchased was way to dark, I agree with triad id call McMillian and ask them what they thought before I bought my paint and applied it and then was disapointed

McMillan said Highland Green will be the closest. Gonna roll with it...

Sorry to have to say this but it will be impossible to color match the color with the photo you shot. The only way to match will be if you know the specific color code of the rifle and the specific color code of the paint. The other surefire way would be to compare the two side by side.

The problem with doing it through photos and monitors and computers is that most folks don't know color profiling and certainly don't calibrate their monitors, cameras, lighting etc.

It is literally impossible to get a color matched through photos you take.

Called Cerakote and "Matt" said that Highland Green with an 18:1 mix ratio should match the dark green in the McMillan M40A-1 stock very well.....LET'S DO THIS!!!!

Decided to go with two-tone combo... Highland Green and OD Green... Should be done in a week...

Got Ur PM.... Gonna go with a 2-tone Highland and OD green mix of parts.... Parts should be done this week.... Will be UNIQUE if nothing else. It's gonna be a pure hunting rifle and one I plan to keep for my kids so no worries of keeping it politically correct for re-sale..... Ill post pics once it is done...

Getting excited.... My Cerakote guy just txt'd me these two pics. Some of the parts we did in Highland Green and some in Mil-Spec Green.... Going to pick up the pieces this evening and hopefully have her pieced together and shooting by morning...
