Rifle Scopes Need help matching scope to 338 lapua

I just had my 338 lapua finished. Stiller tac 338 action 26" rock fluted barrel FTE brake mcmillan a 3/5 stock. I need to put a scope on it and have starred at it for weeks now without a decision. What would be your choice and why? I have a 3-22 ergo USO currently on my 300 WM. A premier 5-25 and a 5-25 S&B. What would you use and why? I'm kind of leaning toward moving the uso to the 338. Its a huge rifle anyway and The only thing I don't like about the ergo is the front parallax. Don't get me wrong fantastic scope but you got to do a lot of moving around to adjust the parallax from a prone position. I have heard from at least 2 people they thought the premier eye relief was a little short for the 338. Opinions?

the thing about guccci gear is to reamin consistant with glass.....unless of course this is going to be a safe queen....then just slap any old shit on it ....like a counter sniper

Rad,

I have a number of our customers that have our scopes mounted on a .338 and this is the first that I have heard of insufficient eye relief. Since the eye relief on all 3 scopes are pretty close- PH -min. 90mm, USO- min 88.5 and S&B -min 86mm, I think since you have access to all the above you should try them out.
Any of the scopes should be fine for what you want, I am just questioning the eye relief statement and you seem to be in a very unique situation to once and for all settle it with your own judgement.

I would be interested in hearing your results.

get stuff you are good with and can hit with....

if you can do well with what you already have....then just switch glass.....

Thanks Paul I have never had any probblems with the premier eye relief either. It was on my 300 to start with then took it off to move it to another rifle. Just thought someone with personal experience with them on a 338 might chime in. I just wasn't sure if recoil might be an issue. I hate moving stuff around after its set. Thought someone might save me a step.

Well then I think that whatever selection you make will be a good one. You are lucky to have a good group to pick from.
