Need help with weak annealing flame

I have only annealed maybe 400 pieces of brass with my new Bench Source annealer.
The flame is now very weak an inconsistent.
Initially it was good, looking for a consistent pencil flame like below: (not mine)

I am using standard Bernsomatic pencil torches.
The propane cylinders are not empty and when I attach to my other 'multi flame' Bernsomatic torches TS4000 or TS2000~ they work fine but way too much heat/flame and don't attach well to the machine.
Can it just be the propane or are these particular pencil torches just crap?

Try a fresh bottle of gas? Are you losing pressure, or is the nozzle gunked up?

I think I might have figured it out but turning down the flame.
Just ran a batch and it worked much better.
It caught me by surprise when the other torches worked and these didn't.
