Hello guys. I live in MS and recently been thinking about doing a Prairie Dog hunt but I have a major problem. I have NO idea how, where, or when to try to do this. Can anybody offer any guidance? Thanks

Early spring seems to be best for us. Lots more young dogs that stick around for multiple shots, instead of running back in the hole immediately upon hearing gunfire.

Thanks guys. Now that when has been established, where. MS doesn't doesn't have praire dogs so what's the closest state tp find them in and how do you go about finding a place to hunt w'o some landowner shooting at you.

You first need to decide if your going to DIY or hire a guide. A of of state's, have a list of outfitters that sell hunts. Online work.
For the DIY you need to find "public" land. Once again, online work. Goggle Earth is a tool that, if you know what your looking at', can be helpful in finding dog towns. Meld the the two together, and you have a place to shoot.
Or, bribe somebody to take you to their honey hole.
