Binos or mono? Leica is always a good choice regardless. The Sig Kilo3000 are another more economical binocular solution. Not cheap, but cheaper than Leica's. The Leica mono is probably the best value. You can find them used in the PX often at decent prices. The glass is terrific.

Probably mono. From what I can think it may be easier to handle a monocular for quick ranging when needed. But I may be wrong.

Leica 2800.com... no better laser out to 1500 yards reliably until you step up to the terrapin x

I can only speak from my experience with my sig kilo 2000 (I got it within a couple weeks of release).
It does everything I need for hunting out to 650 yards (so far) and shooting steel out to a mile.
I think whats gonna dictate your choice the most are a couple things:
1. Budget
2. Just hunting or other long range shooting and HOW FAR
3. Does it need to play well with others and integrate itself into a system of other pieces of gear you may already have.
This is one of my hunts (I still need to post some 416 yard headshot vids)

He said he is just bow hunting so that should work just fine for what he needs. Sig would be within most budgets as well.

After spending some time behind the Sig Binos, I'm about ready to buy a pair. The 10x is nice when spotting and the glass is pretty good. Good enough I can't justify 3x the price for the Leica Binos.
If this is for bow hunting and turkey, you can save a good chuck of change by going with a more budget oriented option. I have an older Buhnell DX that is rated to 1300 yards, I have gotten reading on buildings over 900 yards away with it, and it can compensate for true range based on incline angle. I have upgraded since then, but you can get something similar from a number of reputable manufactures for around $150 to 200. If you want to use this also for range use, then spending more makes a lot of sense.
