I am looking for recommendations for a 10-10.5 inch barrel for my 300 blk sbr (ar15 platform). It will be shot suppressed 100% of the time. AAC 7.62-sdn-6.

I will shoot 225 grain hornady eld primarily but have some Barnes 110 I will use from time to time.

    thanks.

    Noveske makes a 10.5

"Noveske’s 300 AAC BLACKOUT is designed to run optimally firing both subsonic suppressed and supersonic unsuppressed. This barrel is tuned to lock back on the last round using subsonic 220 and 208 grain ammunition with a sound suppressor. The firearm may not lock back with subsonic 220 and 208 grain ammunition without a sound suppressor.

Also, the subsonic 300 BLK ammunition is more susceptible to a malfunction due to carbon fouling and adverse conditions than supersonic ammunition. The barrel is tuned to operate correctly with the back pressure provided by the AAC 762-SDN-6 using an H2 buffer."

Mostek will make you whatever you want with whatever twist rate you want. I have a 9" 1:5 twist in my Radian.

Rainier has a 10" and it comes with their 90 day 100% guarantee. You could talk to them about their gas port size and what you want to do with it.

I have a favor to ask if possible, when your barrel comes can you measure the gas port size ?

I bought a "surplus" NOS mil-spec FN 300BK contract barrel, and it has a TINY gas port. I often wondered if it was for dedicated suppressor use.

How long is it? iirc aac said 8-11" should be .093-.103.

My FN is .063 ... PLGS, 10" , FWIW it was still in its FN plastic bag w/ their CAGE Code , soaked in oil. CL'd CHF barrel is marked with typical FN markings. Purchased from Primary Arms

Looks like I will need to drill it.

    Thanks to All

Yeah that's like supersonic suppresed gas port sizing right there.

Will you be using it suppresed or with an adjustable gas block?

To be honest, I originally bought it because it was to good of a deal to pass up, either $136 or $163.. and it is a FN CHF CL'd 300BK barrel.
I have had very good results from all my FN CHF CL'd barrels.
The 10" part was going to help my desire for more handguard room.. and again, it was a deal, so why not. ( Next day the price jumped considerably )

But the gas port size made me pause. I was expecting a "normal" gas port size.... so I had put the barrel to side for now.

I haven't considered a suppressor... yet,... maybe this will make me get off my lazy behind and get one.

And I do, personally, prefer supers in my 300BK use.

I don't foresee a Adj. GB being desirable with such a small GP... unless there is something I have overlooked.

If I ran supers and subs, I might install an Adj. GB. after deciding on a reasonable GP size.

Id be suprised if that cycled the action on subs without a suppressor. My buddies Aero 300blk out has a typical 0.750 gas port size and it will not cycle with subs. He doesn't have a suppressor.

I have a Robinson XCR-L with the pistol brace and 11.5" barrel. The damn thing shoots .7 moa. It has been incredibly reliable. I am completely satisfied with it.

In 300BLK? I have a 9.5” conversion barrel for mine that I haven’t shot yet. 0.7moa is very impressive, they don’t really seem to be known for accuracy but I still love mine.
