I already have a 308 rem700 heavy barrel and need to build a set-up backwards. I would like a detachable magazine style in a bolt action. What are some good short actions for the buck? Stiller precisions viper work well?

You dont need a new action to have a detachable mag setup, now if your wanting a bolt action with a 20rd ar10 style mag I cant help you.
Might be helpful to let everyone know what model remington you are working with for better suggestions.
