A friend of mine who is 80 years old and ill with cancer and heart trouble hired a contractor in CC to do some work for her. He replacesd a shower and some other work in her guest room. Now the water gets hot in the sink but not in the shower. Ive tried on repeated occasions to get him to repair the problem, as he has been paid in full, but he just refuses, saying "Theres nothing I can do." This woman is one of my oldest dearest friends...took care of me when I was sick and in a feal jam. The CC police dept say we can file a charge for "demand do service" but I need to send him a certified letter first. I have a phone but no address. His name is Bruce Milford, and he does general contracting. Can anyone find me an address for him.

On a different note, anyone there a plumber, or know enough to fix a simple job?

Im in Virginia or Id do it myself.

Another scumbag preying on seniors, wonderful! Put his name in the damn paper or call the local TV stations. He needs a severe attitude adjustment.
Wish I could help, but our prayers and thoughts are with the dear lady.

Quick idea. Might be worth hiring another plumber just to fix it right, and then just file a civil suit. I know they're not in the right place to do a court trip but it's the best recourse and it'll get the problem ~solved right away vs. waiting for the police to get a letter and red tape the shit out of it.

The fact that it's not getting hot in the shower but there is hot water makes me think that he spliced some line incorrectly under the house. Unless he went through the shower wall, there's not anyway to mess it up otherwise. I doubt there's a valve in the hot water line leading only to the shower but if there was it'd be an easy fix. If they only turn on the hot do they get no flow or only cold water?

Maybe this is the guy? (need to get Shank on the case)

    Try here for information
    http://www.cctexas.com/?fuseaction=main.view&page=563

They should be able to tell you his address on file. Also you can call the state board of proffesional and occupational regulation and get his info that way. There should be a license lookup tool there. If he is licensed he should be on file atleast thats how its done here but most states are similar)

There has to be someone on here in the area that can help this lady out! I will make a few phone calls. A friend has family all over TX.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but I'm looking for someone in Lehigh Acres, FL for a favor.

He was the only Bruce Milford in corpus christi, who owns a home. Hopefully it is the right Bruce Milford but I would be willing to bet it is.

Pull the cover off the valve and check to see if it has the service valves on the input sides of the main valve. If it dose turn then counter clockwise.
