Everything that I've seen says that will work. I have a similar rifle but am going to go with the standard height because I have a fat face

I run a similar setup on he work 700P. The badger 20 and .823" rings will work on a 5r also. I was running .885 NFs on my 5R with plenty room to spare on the 50mm tube. You should be fine.

I thought the idea was to get the scope as low as possible.

20MOA Base & Rings

Is that Nikon a 1" tube diameter?</div></div> 30mm diameter I believe.

BTW this is my first time messing with any of this type of stuff, I just sold my AR to fund this rifle.

Seekins 20 MOA Base and Seekins 30mm LOW Rings.
Get the optic as low as possible, but do use some type of scope caps. These LOW Rings I have mentioned will work with your barrel contour.

I just placed the order from Seekins, hopefully they get here before my 10 day wait is up. Thanks for the help guys.
Any guides online for installing the base and rings?

Man from what I have seen you will not be disappointed in this rifle, I have a .223 rem 700 5r and I have only had a sako extractor installed and had the action bedded and this gun will shoot .5 MOA all day long as long as I do my part. Enjoy.
