Need some Muzzle Brake Recommendations for setup

Hey all, i recently finished putting together a new rig, and finally got to shoot it today. It's a Remington 700 SPS-V seated in an HS Precision 5R stock, chambered in .308.

Well, basically what i'm noticing is i can go out and shoot the whole day with my primary set up, an R700 AAC-SD seated in a Choate tactical stock, with a Weaver 4-20x50 and Harris BRMS as well as an AAC BrakeOut Comp. This rifle comes in at about 10-11 lbs, a nice beefy rig. Recoil is exceptionally light for a .308 with this set up. I ended up finally shooting my new rig today and about 20 rounds into it, i noticed a sore shoulder developing. This hasn't happened to me since i built the other rig with the brake!

I'm considering having the barrel cut from 26" to 24" and threaded to throw a brake on it to cut the recoil down. I really like the AAC BrakeOut for its recoil reduction and able to accept a can, but i'm considering maybe a Surefire or even a Badger for this build. I'm just looking for some recommendations, i'd like something more streamlined to work with the varmint contour barrel. What would you guys recommend? Basically here's what i'm looking for:

Streamline Shape
Good recoil reduction
Preferably thread on
Preferably Able to accept a Can if need be

Other than that, i'm open to suggestions! Thanks for your time guys.

I run the Score Hi break and I love it.

Unfortunately it's not exactly svelte nor does it take a can.....

I'm a big fan of the Surefire brakes, but if you want to run a can on it you're locked into their can. That's not necessarily a bad thing from what I understand.

I believe that YMH has a new Phantom QD brake out for their suppressors. Might want to look into that. Their suppressors are much less expensive than the Surefires.

Elite Iron! They make really efficient brakes as well as first rate cans.

I hope to help, and not start arguments, so here is what I have experinced. First, I'm not a big fan of QD cans on brakes for precision rifles. Why? Well I have never seen a QD can that didn't change point of impact. Companys brag about this, but never tell you that it doesn't change, just that it has minimal change. That would be just fine on a close quarters combat rig. On a precision rifle, that sucks. So you either sight in with the supressor or with out if you plan to shoot at long range and hit targets. I am a big fan of brakes, even have one on my 223, but on my supressed 260, the supressor stays on after I sighted in with it.

My personal preferance for brakes are, APA little bastard, and Holland QD brakes. They look good, have no holes on the underside, and simply work great. If you want a can, I love the Thunder Beast 30P1. I only have one, beacuse they are expensive, and I only need one supressed rifle. It is great though!! Again, I hope this helps, and does'nt starts and stuff.
