Hey guys,

My spotting scope tripod was damaged. I'm in the market for a new one.

Now before you go to talking carbon fiber & titanium, know I'm a dirt poor E. TN hillbilly.

I'm working with say a $65 max budget...

Anybody have a suggestion that will work in prone as well as sitting and glassing like my old one did?

You're probably gonna have to spend a little more over your budget if you want something good and sturdy. Check out the Manfrotto 190XB legs and either the 322RC or 128RC head.

This is good advice. Save up a little and get a Manfrotto combo kit from B&H Photo consisting of a 190 tripod and 322RC head. More than you're looking to spend, but definitely a good investment.

The SLIK tripods are nice. Talk to the guys at Precision Rifle Solutions they are very pleasant and helpful when picking one out and their prices are pretty good. I have one of their mini's and it works pretty well for the money.
