Rifle Scopes Need suggestions for mount and rings

I just purchased a Vortex Gen ll, 4.5-27, for my Tikka TAC-A1. The rifle rail is 0 MOA. For PRS I probably need a 20 MOA mount. The scope is about as expensive I can go at this time, although I know from reading this forum, there are better scopes out there. However I now need suggestions for the mount and rings.

You bought a fine scope, they are very nice. Nobody beats them in terms of warranty and customer service. I have been using Spuhr SP-4006's and have been really happy with them. My bases have 20 MOA built in to them and the SP-4006's are 0 MOA. Forgive me, I'm too lazy to look up the 20 MOA mount, but I know they are common and available.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will take look at the Spuhr mounts. Are there others out there for less money that are just as serviceable?

Actually with that scope you don't need a 20 MOA base for PRS ranged targets but it won't hurt. You will need a taller mount with that flat top style set up. Something in the 1.5" height.

Something 1.5" or near there. I would highly recommend either a Spuhr or the ARC m10 QD mount. Both are excellent. And you don't need a 20 moa mount but it certainly wouldn't hurt because it will allow you to use more of the available elevation. I ran mine with a 40 moa mount and it performed just fine.

A Spuhr mount is what you seek. Call Mile High Shooting, they will help you out. Might even have a demo model that will fit your needs for a discounted price.
