Rifle Scopes need to get rid of a scope - VX3 or Vari-X3?

I've got two varmint rigs (.223 and .22-250), and two scopes. I'm getting rid of the .223 and sticking with the .22-250 for all Varmint hunting with a huge/heavy rifle. Will still whack woodchucks and coyotes with a short lighter .223 (like an LTR) with a lower magnification scope.

Question I have is-- What to keep on the .22-250?

VX3, 6.5-20x40mm, fine duplex reticle, 30mm, side focus, click turrets

OR-

Vari-X3. 8.5-25x50, target dot reticle, 30mm, side focus, target turrets

I've got same amount of money into each scope, both in excellent condition. I generally prefer a 40mm objective, but on this set up, I don't care one way or the other.

Thoughts?

I'd keep the Vari-X3. 8.5-25x50 w/dot. I don't care for duplex reticles and the extra magnification and bigger objective is a plus in my opinion.

Re: need to get rid of a scope - VX3 or Vari-X3?

I sold a VX-III 8.5-25x50 in favor of keeping a 6.5-20x40 LR with Target knobs. I prefer the lower mounting scope on a hunting style stock found on factory varmint rifles. Its also a shade lighter. There isn't much advantage of the 50mm for most varmint hunting situations anyway.
