Gunsmithing Need to refinish a S.S. 1911 frame to black

I have a stainless full size 1911 I'd like to turn into a two tone color scheme to match my other carry gun. What would the best way be to change the frame from S.S. to a more parkerized looking finish?

Also... Who would you trust to do this work on your pride and joy?

Black-T from Birdsong is one of the best out there.

You could also have it salt bath nitrided.

You could use dura coat if your going to do it yourself. I just did my 1911 all matte black and it turned out great.

I would give Moly resin a good look. Looks just like parkerizing. They have a govt. contract for M16's. Here: http://www.molyresin.com/pictures.asp

There is a 1911 down the page a bit that gives you a good idea. I used this stuff for the first time last weekend on a muzzle brake for my rifle and it turned out perfect!
