Thanks Jerry,

Trying to decide if I want to go with the 5-20 or the Ultra Bright on my hunting rifle. I was thinking if I went with the 5-20 with illumination and two piece rings that one of the rings would be over the ejection port. I know it would still work but I’m a little OCD on looks but it looks like if I go with the non illuminated I’ll be ok.

I also have an illuminated 5-20 on my 338 edge elk rifle with an MSR reticle. Have never regretted that decision not even once.

You don’t see the rings over the ejection port when you’re behind it pulling the trigger.

Illumination is an asset in a FFP scope on a hunting rifle for the last 15 minutes of legal shooting light. If you’re not hunting or shooting in low light then don’t worry about it though.
