Just placed my order for the Nemesis. Seems like a solid gun. I'm just itching to put my hands on it (90 day build time). Anybody have any experience with these?

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

I have had mine for over a year.
Shoot about 200 rounds (.308) a month.
I have had no problems.
Holds tight groups and low recoil.
They (Nemesis Arms) stand behind their product and get back to you quickly on any questions.
Did you go with the Backpack or Briefcase?

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

I haven't fired one but we had one a while back that a guy left on consignment. I looked it over real well and if you are in need of the backpack/briefcase sized rifle it will make you a happy owner but if serious long range shooting is your desire there are better rifles.

I have to disagree with the parts in red, I say this is a matter of opinion. There might always be better...but its like NHRA. The cost to benefit ratio starts playing into it. Also ones perfect LR rig is anothers nightmare.

Also the rifle is capable as a serious LR shooter, even with in the hands of a new LR shooter this year....which is me.

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

The whole heritage of that monochasis is Long Range accuracy. As a windrunner, it was all that the Cheytac ever was and all the XM is. Significant improvements throughout the rifle from the big rigs. The only limitations are in the cartridges that can fit in a small action, other than that, with some time behind one, you can do your best with a Vanquish. It is also one of the very rare rifles that 30 years from now will be seen as still rare and very valuable. Sold out since inception, every rifle completely created by one man, there just aren't going to be a great number of them. Nobody works harder than David Ives to make a rifle perform.

There are things that more conventional rifles might be able to do better, but accuracy isn't one of them. And none of those rifles can pack down to 16" and still shoot sub moa all day long.

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

Just got a call from David that recommended I get a copy of the newest Tactical Weapons mag. They shot the crap out of it, if this doesn't do it for you nothing will. Loads and results all published out, breakdown accuracy, etc. They loved it.

Only partial I could find until I get the mag...

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

A Vanquish was used in an attempted assassination in last night ABC Charlie's Angels. The show described the Vanquish as "a sniper's rifle, military grade, straight out of Call of Duty"

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

Which scope mount is that?

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

i have one and it isn't what i would call a gun.

it is a work of art!

the gun is absolutely amazing, and is obviously capable of more precision than i am capable of. the brake on the .308 makes it feel like a .223.

i have the backpack only because i am still not sure what optic will finally end up on the gun. the one i have now is a good scope, but this gun deserves hensoldt quality.

i only wish i could buy two more, so i have one to hand down to each of my three children.

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

I was biased against he windrunner rifles for the longest time. I thought that three different companies were selling the same thing, which isn't true.

I am really starting to like the idea of these rifles.

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

I made these up for David today, one of the hardest working guys I know. Try to catch a single panning frame streaming on a pc with PrtSc..now THAT sucks! Beers, it took beers. I thought they came out great. Strange world. Anyway, he appreciated them!

Wait until you see this thing in the three blockbusters coming up. His hard work paying is off, truly a 24/7 kinda guy.

Re: Nemesis Vanquish

1760 with a 6.5?? That's good shooting even if the hit ratio isn't the best. I guess you prove that those smk's do well through transonic and subsonic region. Pretty darn cool!

Here is the link:

The scene is about 80% through the episode just before the commercial break.
