Im currently in the process of "attempting" to make a ghillie suit. The one thing and most needed item i cannot find is the netting to attach to a bdu/clothing etc. that is required to attach jute,hessian,natural flora.etc. I CANNOT find any place that will sell a cheap bulk of netting with 2-3" spaced squares. I am in sydney australia, i have searched on the net but with no luck, and am nearly going to resort to using soccer netting or bags, but both are still too ill-economic. someone please help!

Why 2-3" squares ?
Order from here: Tactical Concealment . I just ordered me some of the 1.75" netting. I'll be using 2-strands per side

michaels and ac moore craft stores has surplus fish netting that works good...
one pack for 10 bucks is enough for about 1.5 ghillie suits

My netting is probably 3/8", a little small, but it worked ok. Make sure you get enough slack in the netting. You can do some additional tacking after you get the burlap on it, if needed.
I got some camo burlap for building ground blinds, and stripped it out. Spend all your spare time on it for a couple weeks, and you will have something to be proud of.

i've gotten mine about 3 different times at Michaels, decorative nylon fishing net for those yuppies that want a beach theme in their lake house. regardlesss. 1"- 1.5" grid pattern in either black brown or some kelp color. perfect for what i needed and it was like $7 for 5x10 feet

if going the michaels route... dont forget to print off a 50% coupon before going in to the store. a simple google search for a current coupon will do the trick

sure why not? i used a white golf net for my snow ghillie. if it's got the grid pattern you want, i say chop the fucker up.
