Straight walled wildcats

A new wildcat that should be Saami spec soon is the 41 Greatlakes . Its a 3006 case trimmed to 1.7" and necked down to 41 caliber . We mostly build 450's but this is something new we are chambering for customers

Info is a little scarce on the cartridge I'm interested in learning more.

Similar to 400 legend except .41 bullets instead of .40

Winchester introduced the 351 WSL and the 401 WSL back in 1907 and 1910 straight wall "auto loading" cartridges.
Similar to today's "Legend line", almost 120 yrs ago. Not much has changed, and either one today would still do the job.

The guys that made the cartridge have a facebook page basically a 3006 case cut down to 1.7" and sized . I've done a few 400 legends but the donor action hast to be a .422 kinda limiting the amount of actions out there .

I always loved the idea of 45 raptor, I especially would if I reloaded for 460 smith. If I didn’t, I’d probably just do 450bm. I have kids, so I pretend that I’ll actually get a barrel for my rig and go deer hunting, but let’s be real, I’d rather run my dogs for birds in my free time.

It's good to dream, the 450 Bushmaster is one of my favorites and just installed the 2nd barrel on mine.
The kids will one day grow up...
But in the mean time one must enjoy life...
Running your dogs on birds is a fantastic way to do that...almost nothing like it.
