I posted this on another site on March 8th.

Their plans are to have separate ranges for both pistol and rifle. Rifle ranges will include short 100, 200, 300 yard ranges; intermediate 500 and 600 yard ranges; and long 1,000 yard ranges. The 600 yard berm is almost completed and should be operational
by early summer.

We can expect to hear more about the facility later this year as they get various projects completed.</div></div>

I would estimate a year on the 1,000 yard range.

At least someone has got to go up there. Heck, I can't catch a break from work to even run by and put a round down range to 100-300.

They may get the dang thing finished before I get to shoot again

Thanks for the update.

TnR- Did you go by Marks' shop as well or just to the range?

Man, I was looking forward to this place being open. Here's a link to a recent news report I just found. This is a problem these days just about anywhere in the Southeast. Even the "rural" areas are pretty heavily populated, at least as far as shooting long range rifles is concerned. I can shoot to 500 yards at home, but am very careful about when I do it so as not to create a problem with the neighbors! I feel for Mark and others who have put a lot of time and money into this.

Sad panda is sad! I was all excited to see a new range in North AL, since I just picked up a Remington 700, and the local range is only 200 yds. Hope y'all open up again soon!
