Ok, so first off I want to say that I really wanted an NXS 5.5x22 but unfortunately just couldnt afford it at this time.
Well back around May timeframe, I back ordered a 6-25x56 Millet LRS-1 with 1/4 MOA adjustments and Illuminated reticle. This scope has been out for awhile minus the illuminated reticle. Well today I get back in town from being gone all week for work and there was a package from SWFA. It arrived. First thoughts are..DAMN THIS THING IS BIG... 35mm main tube and long as hell. I wont talk much about it and will let the pics do the talking. Some things I will say are.
DAMN ITS BIG. (did I mention that?)
The Rings look and feel exactly like the Burris XTR rings except larger for the 35mm inch tube.
The adjustments are very tactile and the clicks are loud. They may not be centered perfect every time with the line on the tube and it feels like there is just a tad bit of play between clicks. When bottomed completely out, it appears to be about 2.5moa off from actual zero but Im not sure it this is considered to be below the actual zero point they want you to use or not. Also, it appears to have 140+ MOA as I could continue to crank up but didnt want to ruin the scope before ever getting a chance to use it. The lock rings are good and work well but I dont see myself ever using them. Parallax seems good at 25 yards but I didnt go out much further then that as its night and raining out and I feel like standing in the rain tonight for further..The same reason I couldnt crank it to 25x and see what it looks like
The eye relief at 6x is long. probably 3-6 inches by guessing.
Illuminated reticle. The adjustments go from NV to 1-10 with NV being the lowest setting (Night Vision is my guess for their reasoning of NV) Above setting 2, you start to see the lighting element around the edge of the glass when looking through. the higher you go, the worse it gets with 10 being completely unusable as it washes out everything.
The scope didnt come with any instructions, warranty cards, or even a battery for the illuminated reticle. Im going to call Bushnell tomorrow since they own millet now.
Anyway,, on to the pics.
I also took some pics with it side by side to my Bushnell elite 4200 for comparisons.
