I needed a 223 since my old 223 became a fat tactical rifle that must weight upwards of 15 lbs. I had some parts around like a trigger, stock, recoil lug and bottom metal. I was looking for a slow twist barrel to shoot max of 55 grain bullets. I have tons but they are useless in my fast twist 223. I ordered a trued action from PTG and a Brux barrel. I used Kampfeld Customs for the build. His work is excellent and has fast turn around time. While the gun was being built my last item I needed was some glass. I went with a Tract Toric BDC 3-15x. I don't plan of throwing this rifle off a cliff so Im sure the optics will be fine. I painted the stock with Duracoat and the metal with Sniper Grey to match the glass. The rifle looks sick to say the least. I can't wait to load up some Lapua brass and some Vmax heads. Im guessing Ill get her out next weekend. I worked like a dog on Friday to bang out the paint work. I plan on doing a detailed report of the optics and the gun itself.
