Took the 17HMR barrel off and replaced with a new 20.5" 22lr barrel. I put about 400+rds thru it today. Started out with 150rds of CCI SV. To brake it in. It did not shoot very well. Then went to Eley Contact, a night/day difference. sub 1/2" at 50 yds, then hitting 2" plates at 200 yds and 4" at 300yds about 50% of the time. SK Biathlon and LR shot even better. Shooting sub MOA groups at 300yds. This gun is going to be a shooter. 10 shot group is SK long Range at 300yds 2.75" 5 shot group is SK Biathlon 2" at 300yds

I’m doing the same thing right now. I have 455 in 17 HMR. Tomorrow, my new 20.5” 22lr varmint with match chamber is arriving. I’ve ordered 8 types of ammo to test which one I’ll go with.

Also, I’m waiting for the spring set, to lower trigger pull weight.

And I’m thinking of “pulling the trigger” (no pun intended) on the oryx chassis.

I did a lot of what you did. I put the EABCO 24" Match barrel on, the Oryx chassis, and I started with the 144 spring from Ace Hardware which I got the factory trigger down to 1lb. It was good at 1 but if you tried to go lower it failed the bump test. On the CZ USA website they have the Mr. Fly trigger for 99 bucks. Helluva deal. I have it set at 8oz. Attached is a pic of my 455.
