With the urge to have another 243 Ackley and an available action on hand it only made sense to call Harold at Harolds Gunsmithing in Tomah, WI. Just as everything else he has built for me I'm sure it will be a smokin' accurate rifle. Going to get rounds down range later this week.
Already having one on a USMC spec stock, S&B 5-25, M5, the whole 18# worth I decided to build a med weight,versatile, multi-season rig also in 243 Ackley.

Action is Phoenix Machine set in a B&C stock with a Seekins DBM, rail and recoil lug. Barrel is a 1 in 7.8" twist 26" Rock Creek varmint contour 5R and all is topped off with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20 mildot in Badger rings.
