New 300 Remington Ultra Mag Project

I am working on loads for a Rem 700 PSS in 300 RUM with a 26" 1/10 twist compensated barrel, in a McMillan A-5, with a Leopold Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm LR/T M1 Scope. I am testing using factory once fired Remington Brass, Hornady 208 A-Max projectiles, Winchester LRM Primers, Retumbo Powder. I was wondering if anyone was or is using a 300RUM for 600-1000yd shooting, and if so if you would be willing to share what you are loading for it.

i shoot a 165 nosler bt fed 215 primers and 93 grn of rel 22 at .030 off the lands in my custom 300 ultra ! shot a 2 3/4' 3 shot group at 700 yrds! working on a 190 grn berger load

I have a 300 RUM, Rem 700 in a MCM A5 stock as well, the loads I have worked up with the 208 AMAX are
1. 88.0 gr Retumbo, Rem Brass, CCI 250, OAL 3.66" average vel has been around 2950 fps. 5 rounds just inside an 1" at 100 yds. have not shot this load past that yet.

2. 79.0 gr H4831SC, Nosler brass, CCI 250, OAL 3.66" average vel 2700 fps, 5 rds around .5" at 100, I have shot a 5 shot, 2" group at 450 yds(best to date) and around 10 -12" at 1000 yds. this load seems a little light as I am not getting a perfect seal around the neck, I plan on bumping it up to 80.0 grs. It is however my favorite load for this rifle.

I have tried other loads as well but, I am currently overseas and do not have my loadbook with me. If I can remember any of the others I'll post them up.

If you get a chance I have 2 bullets and one powder and they shoot very well @ 1000 yrds, 208 A-MAX and the 210 VLD both with 93 grains of H 1000, 26 inch barrel 1 X 10 twist @ 3200 fps.
both shoot .4 or less.

jim coffe of well sports store prescott az built it for me ! rem 700 action 31' schilling select match barrel vias break jewell trigger sitting in a hs pss stock and obviously compleatly accurized ! love it to death !

I have a stock 700P with HS stock and trigger reworked to 3lbs. I use Sierra 190gr SMks with 90gr H1000 and rem 215 gold medal match primers shoots right at 3000fps and will put 5 rounds in the same hole at 100 yards as long as I do my part.
Have the same rifle in .308 and cant get it better than 1 1/2" at 100yards with 5 shots, need to do some more work on my loads.

I was running the 208 amax with 91.5gr of ADI2225 (retumbo) @ 3075fps in a Sendero, also used ADI 2217 (H1000) at 93gr @3125

But I sold that rifle and have made one with slower twist barrel that I had lying around while I wait to get a good 338 barrel and am now using 190 berger with 94.5 ADI2225 as the 1:13 wont stabalise the 208 by the looks
