Just got my 300WM finished up today. I kept it fairly light as I'm packing it on my elk trip this October. Here are the specs.

Stiller Tac300 with 20 moa rail
Bartlein modified sendero contour barrel finished at 27 inches, 10 twist with 8, 1/4 in flutes
McMillan A3 (60% black, 30% gray and 10% white...a lot lighter colored than I expected)
PTG bottom metal
Shilen trigger at 2lbs
IOR-Valdada V-Tac rings
Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP Moa

Barrel work done by Joel at Ackerman Gun Co.

Re: New 300WM build

Frank, I'm really liking the Shilen trigger. I was going to go with another Jewell but decided against it on a hunting rig. It is much more crisp than my Rifle Basix.

Furtaker, I think he just puts a pad sander on it while it's spinning on the lathe after polishing it. I'm not 100% sure how he does it. He has told me that it's really easy. The best part is how well it hides nicks and scratches.

I like the color of the whole setup. Perhaps I might have had the action and barrel with a parkerized finish, but yours looks very, very sweet as well.

Plan on shooting some elk this fall?

Re: New 300WM build

There's a handfull of elk in ND. Out west in the badlands and up north near Canada. Luckily for me, I hunt up north. Actually, the #6 all time B&C non-typical is from ND. It scores 449 7/8. You're only allowed to draw a tag once in your life so you had better make it count.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Re: New 300WM build

Hey Brad.... Sent you an email. Have a bar. on order from the same place. Hate to be a copy cat but I am leaning on building one very close to yours. Sent you a PM asking for help with a few things.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff
