This is my new .308 AR 10 type rifle. It is a prptotype I made of a few of my new parts. The lower will mate up to an AR 10 upper but uses DPMS style P mags. They are cheap and work great. Since an Armalite AR 10 upper needs a small mod (Milling off two small ears inside it that seat the mag) I made my own upper also. It has DPMS style threads so the JP handguard will fit JP V tac handguard used on build). I used a DPMS bolt and carrier. The barrel is a 20" Montana Rifle Co barrel. The lower uses a standerd AR 15 lower parts kit (including the bolt catch), only the take down and pivot pin had to be changed and a set screw used in the rrar detent spring hole. A buddy of mine dipped it in the "Reaper woods" camo pattern. I had to take the can off for the picture because it was getting to long and skinny to photograph well ( I made it as a 12" can that goes over 4" of barrel so it does not stick out but 8", it uses several K and M bafffles.) I also made the charging handle and lower parts kit.
This is not a solicitation to sell these, they will not be in production for several months until my new mill arrives.
WIth the homemade can, it was shooting well under 1" 5 shot groups from a ratty plywood bench. After it was sighted in I blasted the steel at 330 yards but did not shoot for a group yet at that distance.
